Madam Afia Baawa Afriyie is a dedicated development practitioner focused on strengthening food systems, gender inclusivity, and community wellbeing. She has over ten years experience working in  public sector  championing Women in Agriculture Development  at  Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly. She advocates for sustainable food security, equitable access, and resilient livelihoods, bringing a people-centred perspective to food system transformation. Through her work, Afriyie champions gender equity in agriculture, sustainable practices, and psychosocial wellbeing as integral to long-term community resilience. Her contributions include mentoring and supporting smallholder farmers, engaging in multi-stakeholder dialogues, and promoting inclusive solutions that turn food waste into value. As a Board Member at Food for All Africa, she helps guide strategy and impact in advancing equitable, climate-smart food systems.
