LunchBox School Feeding Initiative

Affordable School Meals

Hunger remains one of the leading causes of poor school attendance, low academic performance, and high dropout rates among children in underserved communities across Ghana.

Launched in 2016 to complement the Government of Ghana School Feeding Programme, the LunchBox School Feeding Initiative was created to provide free and affordable nutritious meals to school children in public and private schools that do not benefit from any government-supported feeding programme.

Since its inception, the Food for All Africa Ghana School Feeding Programme and LunchBox School Feeding Initiative have reached more than 25,000 school children across 35 public and private schools in underserved communities throughout Ghana. Today, over 7,300 children receive nutritious meals daily through the programme.

Operating across multiple regions, LunchBox continues to improve child nutrition, increase school attendance, enhance learning outcomes, and provide relief to vulnerable families struggling with the rising cost of food.

A Private Sector-Led Model for Sustainable School Feeding

The LunchBox Initiative is built on a collaborative model that brings together schools, parents, local communities, corporate partners, philanthropists, and development organizations to ensure every child has access to nutritious meals.

Over the years, Food for All Africa has developed strategic partnerships with leading private sector and philanthropic organizations including

These partnerships have enabled us to expand our reach, improve meal quality, and support more schools and communities across Ghana.
